Don't know why, but I really like the way you did the shine in her hair. I've never seen eyes colored that way, but it's a bit more subtle, so they don't stnad out compared to the rest of the picture, which can be good or bad. When there's a background, try to make the eyes stand out. Something about eyes draws people into the image. They still came out very good as well. Where did you learn your coloring style? It seems different from the ones I've seen. Make it up, or did Harley teach you? (Sorry if I mispelled that name) It's really pretty good. Got any other drawings planned or started yet?

And yeah, i colored the eyes rather differently this time, just expirementing i guess. I'll try to make them stand out more next time, and add a background... lolz.
Hmmm. well i learned my coloring style from looking at tutorials on DA, and also just playing around with color pencils, and seeing how i liked it best and stuff. Harley taught me how to draw, but not to color.

That's a really kind offer, but I kinda feel bad doing so if I'm not doing anything in return. I'll take a look at your other picture by the way. As far as tutorials go, I've seen some really awesome eyes ones, since that's what I generally look for. (I'm not so good at them :/) Generally though, from what I've seen, people try to make the character and background blend a bit, and have their eyes contrast, either in style, feeling, or in color. Color, obviously, being the easiest. An example would be a dark rainy area, a character wearing brown, green, dark blue, or black, then having red, purple, or yellow eyes. That large of a contrast isn't always the best though. Maybe green and such would go better. Experiment a bit, and see how it goes.

For some reason, I'm in the mood to see Renji in a fan-art, so maybe something with him? As for practicing backgrounds, try the scene from one of the first episodes, where they're in the street and Renji and Byakuya take Rukia. Draw Renji with an almost sad pose. I say to draw Renji with that background, because his hair is red, and you're after making the eyes the focus. You'll have to find a way to make his hair blend a bit, and get his eyes to stand out instead. His eyes are brownish-red, and very dilated, so you'll have to do a close-up of his face.

Since I think that won't work so well, I'll try to think of something else. (I'll stick to Bleach, since that's the only anime we both watch.)

Hm... I'm thinking blue or purple background, so reddish eyes would be best... too bad Renji's are so small. Maybe try a green/yellow background, and go for Hitsugaya or Rukia, who have blue and purple eyes respectively. They would both make good characters for a calm forest opening, so maybe try that. An example of one like that, I can't really think of. That may be difficult to find.

If you do draw something, do you want me to repay you at all? Maybe a request from you?

A'right, cool. And I'll do Cloud, like I said. I'm not sure how well I can draw it, or how well I can color afterwards, and it may seem strange without a background... but it's definitely worth a shot. I can't be terrible ^^ XD Good luck with yours too.
